SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS
We are busy working on our
Christmas program! Save the date. Our program is scheduled for December
14th during the 10:30 service. All Sunday School children
are involved. We ask that you reserve December 6th and 13th
from 9-11 for our practice. This is a great time to drop your children
off and do some Christmas shopping alone. We will take care of your
children for 2 hours while preparing for our service. In advance, thank
you.
Our 4 and 5 year olds are doing
a great job with their attendance. Since our 3 year old numbers were
low this year, we decided to combine the 3 and 4 year olds. The Kindergarteners
are now in a class of their own. If your child is 3 or 4, please remember
that they should grab the rope at the back of the church. They will
have class downstairs, but are still picked up in the first classroom
on the right upstairs.
The 3rd and 4th
graders are memorizing their scripture this year in exchange for goodies
from Mrs. Muscat and Mrs. Carlson. The snacks and trinkets have proven
to be Very MOTIVATING!
The 1st and 2nd
graders have been busy with Mrs. Spike and Mrs. Kilgallen memorizing
their commandments. Way to go!
Where are the 5th
and 6th graders from St. Johns???????!
It is with much sadness that
I announce that Sarah Wilke will be finishing her term as Asst. Superintendent
at the end of this SS year. We are looking for someone who is very organized
and would be willing to order the SS lessons and track attendance. If
you are interested, please see Sarah. She would like to train you for
the remainder of this year. Please pray hard and ask if God is calling
you for this position. Sunday School will miss Sarah and her great ideas
and wonderful organization.
We continue to ask you to pray
for SS. We are looking for new leaders to step forward and lead Gods
little ones. Are you the one who will answer His call?
In Him,
Trina Helsom
