LADIES OF ST. JOHN'S

Ladies of St. John's

Our upcoming meeting is on Thursday, November 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Preschool Room. We will be creating favors and gift bags for the residents of the Lutheran Home. We will also be discussing scheduling and programs for 2009. Refreshments will be served.

LWML "Sunday" entitled Opened Eyes...Hearts Ablaze! has been rescheduled for November 22+23. We can all be a part of these special services as readers and ushers. A Door Collection for Mites will be taken to support NID-Lutheran Womens Missionary League Mission Grants.

Gifts Items for Lutheran Home

Personal Care Items- small shampoo, bar soap, toothpaste, tooth brushes, small hand cream, or powder. Facial tissues (purse size), handkerchiefs greeting cards, note cards, Playing cards, and jewelry-old or new.

Please place these donations in the boxes found in the Church Narthex

before our November 13 meeting.

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans

Northern Kane/McHenry County Chapter

Elections for Chapter Officers will be held on Saturday and Sunday, November 1/2 before and after church services. All Thrivent members should stop by our table in the Narthex to vote for these area representatives.

Lutheran Home Gift Donations

The Ladies of St. Johns is sponsoring the collection of personal items for Lutheran Home residents. All church members are encouraged to bring items. The following things are being collected:

personal care items toothpaste and brushes,

small shampoo and creams,

bar soap or powder

jewelry, old or new, purse size facial tissue,

playing cards, greeting cards, handkerchiefs

We will assemble gift bags from your donations at our meeting on November 13. Please place your items in the collection boxes found in

the Narthex prior to that time.
