St. John's participates in collecting
food pantry items for two food pantries, food alternating between the FISH (Friend, I Shall Help) Food Pantry in Carpentersville and the Algonquin/LITH Interfaith Food Pantry. This month's Food Pantry collection will be held the weekend of March 29 and 30 and will be taken to the FISH FOOD PANTRY OF CARPENTERSVILLE. Your support with gifts of non-perishable food items and paper goods is appreciated. Please mark this date on your calendar so you dont forget; and be generous as you can with your offering. There are many needy families who rely on help from the food pantries, and the pantries rely on folks like us to provide supplies for their storehouses. Thank you for your consideration to help.
FROM ALGONQUIN-LAKE IN THE HILLS INTERFAITH FOOD PANTRY
Dear Ladies at St. John’s Church,
While we reflect on the blessings of the recent Christmas Season and look forward to this year of new beginnings, we at the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Food Pantry wish to express our deep and abiding gratitude for your generous and caring spirit.
Your generous giving helps provide the most basic of needs, allowing families with limited resources to acquire the other things their children need.
It is our honor and privilege to help them, and your donation assures that we will continue to provide the assistance our patrons need. We are extremely grateful.
May God bless you and yours abundantly,
Clarenda G. Johnson, Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Food Pantry
Dear Pastor Stroup:
Your parish was among more than 1,700 congregations throughout the USA who welcomed one of our speakers to preach about the needs of the destitute in the Caribbean and Latin America.
All of us at the Food For The Poor humbly thank you for partnering with us in this ministry to bring good news to those living in abject poverty. You and your parishioners were remembered in a special Thankful Thursday prayer service on January 10th.
You have helped make the face of Christ visible by your support.
Robin G. Mahfood
President/CEO
St. John's Lutheran Church,
Thank you for your donation of $160.50 to the FISH FOOD PANTRY.
Because of your kindness we will be able to help many less fortunate in our area.
