St. John's Lutheran School has been
serving the communities of Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, as well the
surrounding communities of Dundee, Carpentersville, Crystal Lake, Cary,
and Elgin for the past 132 years.
During the past century SJS has seen
much growth and many changes. To
meet
the educational needs of the students St. John's has had several
building programs, increased its staff, and welcomed new advancements in
education, all the while providing our students with a Christian
environment of learning.
In addition to our school, SJS
opened one of the community's first preschools serving
both
the academic and developmental growth of three and four year olds. St.
John's Preschool also
offers a
full day four-year-old program as well as a full day Kindergarten program.
